This table came into the shop covered with several layers of paint. It was a sad sight indeed. Structurally, the pedestal and legs were sound with no serious damage.
Stripping was difficult and time consuming as the paint was so hardened that eventually the stripper refused to work. So... sander time!
The top lamination's had been broken and badly repaired some time in the past. Also, the edge profile was badly scarred and had numerous dings.
The completed table was stunning with beautiful figure, particularly on the legs.
After complete stripping and refinishing, it turned out very nice and is still one of my favorite pieces that I have worked on.
